Quando os estudantes brasileiros têm o primeiro contato com o mundo das universidades dos Estados Unidos, eles não têm muita noção da infinidade de possibilidades que existem.

Universidades como Harvard e Stanford, por serem mundialmente famosas, são escolhidas como as universidades dos sonhos, mas a maioria dos alunos não tem ideia de qual é o perfil de maioria das instituições, e principalmente, se elas combinam com seu próprio perfil.

Por exemplo, um aluno que gosta de um ambiente urbano e movimentado provavelmente se daria muito melhor na New York University do que na Dartmouth College. Se um aluno não gosta de frio, estudar na Flórida ou Califórnia seja uma melhor opção do que Minnesota ou Washington. Identificar quais são suas preferências pessoais e alinhá-las com o perfil das universidades é o primeiro passo para definir quais serão as instituições que mais irão combinar com seu perfil.
