O mapa do Canadá nem sempre foi como o que você conhece hoje. Até o período final do século XIX, o território era dividido em províncias independentes e controladas, geralmente, pela coroa francesa ou inglesa. Isso seguiu até 1849, quando o recém-eleito governo da região, depois de muitos debates, alterou o nome para University of Toronto e cortou a influência da igreja.

Frederick Benting
